In the framework of the South Programme IV, the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ) will organise on 8 April 2021 an online round table for judicial professionals and beneficiary bodies from the Southern Mediterranean region. This round table will focus on the lessons learned from the health crisis and the innovative working methods implemented within the judicial bodies of the region.

After an introduction devoted to the general impact of the health crisis on the functioning of the public service of justice and the fundamental principles of human rights and the rule of law, two successive panels will deal with innovative methods and the use of information technologies in the region and in Europe, and then with the consequences of the health crisis on the professionals and users of justice. The conclusions of this round table will be published on the South Programme IV and on the CEPEJ website.

This round table is open to justice professionals, in particular from the Southern Mediterranean region (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine* and Tunisia).
