From 9 to 13 May 2022, the Central Asia Rule of Law Programme had a set of meetings with national authorities and international partners in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

Priorities of work with national key stakeholders in both countries such as representatives of constitutional bodies, parliaments and the judiciary in the field of Rule of Law have been defined for the upcoming months.

The Programme team also exchanged with the representatives of the European Union Delegations to Tajikistan and Uzbekistan on planned activities and implementation modalities of the Programme.

Additional meetings with international organisations active in both countries allowed to identify common grounds for co-ordinated initiatives and actions.

These face-to-face exchanges are considered instrumental in stepping-up the implementation of the Programme and provided an opportunity to adjust its working plans in accordance with the needs of both countries.
