Given the educational role of the Judicial Training Centre (JTC) in the judicial system of Montenegro, it is crucial to strengthen its capacities and internal organisational efficiency to improve the application of the European Convention of Human Rights at a national level.

JTC’s internal software has been upgraded with the aim to allow the maintaining track of judges and prosecutors’ training paths, as well as to facilitate e-learning.

Our project brought comprehensive support in modifying JTC’s existing software solution, so as to enable a more thorough insight and a closer and more systematic monitoring of the training programmes for legal professionals, which will facilitate better reporting and statistics production.

In line with these developments, an e-learning platform has been developed. It will ease the access to courses for the judiciary, thus increasing the number of trained legal professionals, and ultimately contributing to enhance their capacities to apply human rights standards in their daily work.

This activity implemented under the joint initiative of the European Union/Council of Europe Horizontal Facility Action “Fighting ill-treatment and impunity and enhancing the application of the European Court of Human Rights case-law on national level”, with the aim of enhancing the capacities of the JTC.
