Inclusive education was discussed at the plenary and working group sessions of the Informal meeting of the Steering Committee for Educational Policy and Practice of the Council of Europe (CoE). The meeting was organised by the Serbian Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development and the CoE and took place in Belgrade on 24-25 October 2013.

The Joint EC/CoE project ‘Regional Support for Inclusive Education' was presented at the plenary session, with emphasis on the 49 pilot schools. It was also used as background for discussion at the working-group session on Inclusive Education.

This meeting not only raised the visibility of the project, but it also fostered cooperation and partnerships with other projects and partners, not only from the Balkans, but also from the rest of Europe.
