Over the past decade and building on the successes of each phase, the South Programme continues to strengthen links and co-operation within the region and with European counterparts to promote democratic values and principles, as well as respect for human rights in the region. 19 ratifications of Council of Europe Conventions by 5 countries in the region
+1000 Senior public officials of the region participated in 15 seminars of the University for Democracy for the Southern Mediterranean (UniDem Med) held in cooperation with 7 national authorities
