In co-operation with the High School of Justice, the Council of Europe and the European Union organised another series of seminars to familiarise judges with the latest case-law of the Supreme Court of Georgia and the European Court of Human Rights related to domestic violence, admissibility of evidence, the right to liberty, pre-trial measures, trial preparation, and various aspects of fair trial standards.
As a result of cascade trainings up to 50 judges are better informed about recent case-law of the European Court of Human Rights and the Supreme Court of Georgia.
The trainings were organised under the EU/CoE joint Project "Supporting the criminal justice reforms - tackling criminal aspects of the judicial reforms in Georgia" within the framework of the Partnership for Good Governance Programme II.
