In the framework of the Central Asia Rule of Law Programme, the Venice Commission and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan are organising on 16 September 2022 in Bishkek a conference on “Judicial independence in the context of constitutional reforms”.
This event will be attended by high-level representatives from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Venice Commission experts from Georgia, North Macedonia, Republic of Moldova, and Republic of Korea will present the international and European standards in the field of judicial independence and share their national experience.
Participants will learn more about judicial independence and the interaction of the judiciary with other branches of state power in the context of the recent constitutional reforms.
