HELP in Central Asia presented in Kazakhstan

On 14 February 2022, an online webinar focusing on legal competencies in the light of new realities was organised by the Sorbonne Institute of Kazakhstan and Human Rights Commission under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event was hosted by Mr Igor Rogov, Chair of the Human Rights Commission under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of the Venice Commission, who outlined main challenges of legal education in Kazakhstan.

The webinar gathered more than 60 representatives of justice professionals, including parliamentarians, judges, prosecutors, lawyers, law professors and students. The HELP Programme in Central Asia which is part of the Council of Europe and EU joint initiative, Central Asia Rule of Law Programme, was likewise introduced at the webinar outlining new featured courses available at the platform and its methodology.

The Central Asia Rule of Law Programme is a joint initiative co-financed by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
