ELSA Italy Moot Court Competition XVIII edition focuses on the topic of Roma women

In the period February – May 2021, the European Law Students Association Italy, in partnership with the joint EU/Council of Europe programme JUSTROM3, organises a Moot Court Competition. Based on a fictional case, the teams enrolled in the competition will represent one of the parties and will play their role within oral debates. As of 1994, this is the largest moot court competition in Italy. This year the topic of the case is focused on Roma women.

A total of 33 teams have registered for the competition, which this year will take place online.

In preparation of the competition, ELSA Italy and JUSTROM3 programme are also organising three webinars, on the following topics: violence against women and girls and access to justice (5 March 2021), trafficking of human beings, especially women and girls, and access to justice (12 March 2021) and non-discrimination and Roma, with focus on legal status and statelessness (19 March 2021). The 88 participants who registered for the Moot Court Competition will attend the webinars, together with other ELSA Italy and Greece members.
