Tunisian magistrates participate in the 21st meeting of the CEPEJ Working Group on the Quality of Justice (GT-QUAL)

The President of the Court of first instance of Gabes and the Deputy Attorney General of the Court of appeal of Tunis took part in the 21st meeting of the CEPEJ-GT-QUAL that was held on 9 -10 February 2017 in Strasbourg.

This Working Group is responsible for developing the means of analysis and evaluation of the work carried out within the courts in order to improve the quality of the public service of justice according to criteria of performance and efficiency meeting a large consensus. Tunisia has regularly attended the work of the Group since 2014.

During the meeting, which focused on judicial communication, the Tunisian delegation was able to gather information and exchange knowledge notably on the manner in which the courts communicate with the media and the public and on effective communication in crisis situations. This last theme, presented by Mr François Molins, Procurator of the Republic at the Tribunal de Grande Instance of Paris, was discussed at length by the members of the Group to initiate concrete work on this issue.
