Regional conference to mark the 10th anniversary of the South Programme, a joint initiative between the European Union and the Council of Europe.
The conference takes stock of the achievements and lessons learnt since the start of the South Programme in 2012 and aims to identify common trends and challenges in the Southern Mediterranean region with the objective of contributing towards defining priorities for future joint action.
The conference will provide an opportunity for networking between representatives of authorities, members of parliament, professionals, civil society and young leaders in the Southern Mediterranean region and their peers in Europe. It will promote sharing of ideas and experiences to further strengthen the co-operation in priority thematic areas.
