Round table on “How to reduce the length of the proceedings in Egyptian administrative courts and good practices from European countries”

In the framework of the South Programme IV, the European Commission for the efficiency of justice (CEPEJ) organised an online round table on “How to reduce the length of the proceedings in Egyptian administrative courts and good practices from European countries” for judges of the Egyptian Council of State on 9 March 2021.

The implementation of the CEPEJ SATURN guidelines for judicial time management and the case-weighting system developed by the CEPEJ are discussed in the framework of the continued and fruitful cooperation established with the Egyptian Council of State to improve courts’ performance, efficiency and workload and reduce the length of the proceedings.

The round table has been opened by the Secretary General and Vice President of the Egyptian Council of State, in the presence of representatives of the Delegation of the European Union to Egypt in Cairo, the CEPEJ secretariat, international experts, including a representative from the French Council of State.
