The European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ), in close collaboration with the European Network of Justice Inspection Services (RESIJ) and the General Inspectorate of Judicial Affairs of the Superior Council of the Judiciary of the Kingdom of Morocco organise, on 11 and 12 May 2022 in Casablanca, Morocco, a regional conference aiming at creating a South Mediterranean network of justice inspection services in the framework of the South Programme IV.

This regional conference will bring together representatives of the general inspectorates of justice of the countries of the southern Mediterranean region (Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine*, Tunisia) and of certain European countries members of the RESIJ (Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Spain). It will consist of reflection workshops on the status and competences of justice inspectorates, the implementation of the missions of control of persons and organisation of the courts, as well as the prospects and new missions of the inspections. The second day will be devoted to the establishment of a South Mediterranean network of justice inspection services.
