Launch of the second phase of the programme

On International Human Rights Day, the Presidency of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Morocco, in cooperation with the Council of Europe, in the framework of the South Programme IV, launched the second phase of the capacity building programme "Strengthening capacities of Moroccan magistrates on human rights".

Representatives of the many institutions involved in strengthening the human rights protection system in Morocco, namely the Presidency of the Public Ministry, the Superior Council of the Judiciary, the Minister of Justice, the Delegation of the European Union in Morocco, the Council of Europe, and the National Council of Human Rights in Morocco, participated to the event. The collection of the interventions of the first phase of the training which covered the international, national, and regional (African and European) framework for the protection and promotion of human rights (from December 2020 to October 2021) was presented at the event.

This second phase will start with a first training session for about 50 judicial officials, from 13 to 15 December 2021 in Marrakech.

 

 

The South Programme IV is a joint programme of the Council of Europe and the European Union, financed by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
