Promotion of the signature and ratification of the new Convention CETS No. 218 on an Integrated Safety, Security, and Service Approach at Football Matches and Other Sports Events 

The objective of Sub-project 2 is to promote the signature and ratification of the new Convention CETS No. 218 for the European States that have not yet signed nor ratified it. This will be done by raising knowledge of and awareness on the provisions of the new Convention by designing “country model” training at strategic level involving the decision makers as well as various stakeholders at operational level.

The ultimate aim is to use the training model developed to carry out regional seminars involving more countries which encounter similar challenges and, therefore could share experience and practice in this area.
