The Guide to Mainstreaming Equality in the Management of Sports Federations is divided into five sections:

1. Section III - Glossary defines a number of basic concepts related to gender equality, which will help to understand the objectives and actions proposed in the Guide.

2. Section IV-Axis of action, the body of the guide, is divided into the five axes of action identified in the context of the structure and activities of sports federations.

  - Organisation and internal functioning

  - Budget management

  - Sports project

  - Training plan

  - Communication plan

Each axis is developed based on a sheet containing a general objective, several specific objectives and a series of actions.

The sheets developed for this guide include a space for identifying the persons responsible for the actions, the implementation period, the evaluation indicators and a space for adding any others that may be considered appropriate. These sheets also list the additional documents that the associations may need to provide in order to present the plan.

3. Section V - Action Development Sheets provides a model sheet for the development of each action.

4. Section VI-Evaluation and monitoring of the plan contains items for evaluating the degree of compliance with the actions defined in each of the five axes.

5. Section VII-Links of interest lists the most important web resources and materials developed in Spain with regard to gender equality in sport.
