Brief desciption of the resource/practice:

Since 2024, the CNFL (National Council of Women of Luxembourg) has taken on the role of national coordinator for the celebration of International Women’s Sports Day  (January 24) across Luxembourg's municipalities. By inviting all municipalities to participate, CNFL fosters a sense of unity and collective purpose. Each participating municipality is member of the collective and contributes its activities, which are compiled into a single, comprehensive agenda on national level. This approach not only amplifies the individual efforts but also creates a powerful, nationwide celebration of women in sports.

The collective in collaboration, with CNFL as coordinator, acts as central force that brings diverse actors together. To further highlight this national solidarity, a press conference is held, where all stakeholders have the opportunity to present their activities and initiatives. In doing so, CNFL ensures that the voices of local actors are amplified on a national stage, demonstrating a unified commitment to advancing women’s sports in Luxembourg.
