Brief desciption of the resource/practice:

This is a document that presents the Atenea Project, in which we can find a diagnosis of the situation of women in volleyball, and then the proposal for improvement, in which the different lines of action are defined.

This project focuses on very specific objectives to retain highly qualified female talent in volleyball itself. Atenea is integrated into the Sports and Women's Policy of the Royal Spanish Volleyball Federation, which is concerned with gender imbalances and the greater and more qualified presence of women in Spanish volleyball in all areas. In the same way, it develops the needs for the inclusion of high-level sportswomen in the initial programme of the National Volleyball Plan. The same principles and dimensions that have allowed the creation of this strategy will be the basis for future actions that will give continuity to the ATENEA group in the high-level technical programmes of the Royal Spanish Volleyball Federation.
