Brief description of the practice: 

The project was developed with the main objective of increasing participation of girls and women in football / futsal through several activities:

a) combat invisibility, cultural barriers and stereotypes, through a campaign focused on the appropriation and practice of this sport by girls, seeking to positively influence young girls, especially their families, the media and sports agents in football / futsal;

b) empowerment of girls and women, with a view to raising awareness of their rights, promoting opportunities for participation, organisation and development of their leadership skills, as well as an increase in participation

c) awareness raising of strategy-makers: club officers, regional football associations, local elected officials, on the need to promote specific measures and programmes that apply the principle of equality and non-discrimination;

d) awareness raising of schools and Physical Education teachers, on the need to support young female students in the learning and continued practice of football / futsal.
