Brief description of the practice: This guide provides guidelines on incorporating a gender perspective in Physical Activity and Sport Science (PASS) degrees and research. It is divided into three parts. The first part contains an introduction on the current situation of PASS studies, including the decline of women’s interest in them, and then focuses on what image should be projected for promoting these studies. The second part proposes some organisational strategies for incorporating gender mainstreaming in high education institutions management and in the design of the contents of teaching, both in higher education and in primary and secondary education. Finally, the third part offers some indicators on how to measure gender equality in the organisation of the institution, as well as in teaching and research, to raise awareness amongst lecturers, professors and educators.
