Brief description of the practice: This guide tries to serve as a tool for the implementation of equality plans inside sport federations, which are public administration’s partners and the main reference in the field of sport in order to identify and to overcome the obstacles to equal participation of women in all spheres of federations.
The guide is divided into five axes: organisation and functioning, budgetary management, sports project, training plan and communication plan. Each axe has an overall objective, several specific goals and different actions addressed to the achievement of each target.
The guide also includes a glossary about equality issues and provides temples for monitoring and assessment of all items in each area.

Content and objectives: The aim of this practice is the enhancement of equal opportunities between women and men inside sport federations.

Steps/activities of the practice: The guide was designed and published by National Sports Council of Spain in 2012.

Resources required: There are no resources required to develop the measure.

Follow-up ideas and future plans: There are no plans to update or re-print the guide at the moment.
