Brief desciption of the resource/practice: 

Through the call for projects 'Activation of girls and women', the Flemish government specifically wants to increase the active presence of girls and women, both in active sports practice and in support and leadership (as a trainer, coach, official, decision maker, ...). With this call for projects, we give an extra boost to Sports Federation projects to increase the activation of girls and women, tailored to the specifics of the Federations. In 2023 and 2024, eleven Sports Federations receive this project subsidy to activate more girls and women as athletes, trainers, officials, administrators….

We support projects in skating, hockey, football, cycling, rugby, boxing, handball, water polo, basketball, volleyball and sailing and surfing sports. This publication describes the eleven projects after the end of the first project year (2023).
