Draft Law on the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic – Joint Opinion by the Venice Commission and OSCE/ODHIR adopted

In the framework of the 126th Plenary Session of the Venice Commission that took place online from 19 to 20 March 2021, a Joint Opinion of the Venice Commission and the OSCE/ODIHR on the draft Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic was adopted. This Joint Opinion was requested by the Director of the ODIHR in December 2020.

The Venice Commission prepared this Opinion in the framework of the action "Promoting efficient functioning of state institutions and public administration" within the Central Asia Rule of Law Programme 2020-2023 which is a joint initiative, co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
