On 26 February 2016, a training course on Council of Europe framework and institutions for protection against discrimination was held for 17 participants from the Moldovan Council for Prevention and Elimination of Discrimination and Ensuring Equality, and the Ombudsperson Office.
An international expert presented the mandate and functioning of the Council of Europe institutions from the perspective of preventing and combatting discrimination, including the European Convention on Human Rights, Revised European Social Charter and European Commission against Racism and Intolerance
This activity was organised in the framework of the project “Supporting national efforts for prevention and combating discrimination in Moldova” that is part of the Programmatic Cooperation Framework for Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Republic of Moldova, Ukraine and Belarus and is funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe.
