One of the challenges of living together in diverse societies is ensuring not only equal rights but also equal opportunities for all. Migrant empowerment and inclusion in the economic sphere are essential factors of equity and social cohesion.
But they are also a means of realizing the diversity advantage – the gains in productivity, creativity and innovation associated with diverse teams, enterprises and communities.
The diversity advantage materializes when the talents, skills and potential of people of diverse backgrounds are not wasted through unemployment or below their individual qualifications, but are engaged in the development of projects, organization and business processes.
DELI’s goal is designing participatory economic governance and management systems at the local level which remove the obstacles to economic inclusion and actively support migrant entrepreneurship.
