The HELP Methodology Guidebook on Human Rights Training for Legal Professionals is now available in Armenian. It provides a step-by-step analysis of the various stages of the methodology and describes the roles of the HELP Secretariat, the network members and the tutors in the training process.
The guidebook explains in particular the development of the HELP model course from the selection of the topic and the course authors to the gradual building of the content, which is the reference for further national versions. Moreover, the guide deals with the two distinct formats of HELP Courses: 1) tutored courses and 2) self-learning courses.
Training of legal professionals at large is of major importance in order to promote and effectively implement human rights standards at national level. According to the subsidiarity principle, national authorities have the primary responsibility for the effective protection of human rights.
This document has been translated and produced in Armenian in the framework of the project "Supporting the criminal justice reform and harmonising the application of the European standards in Armenia," funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe in their Partnership for Good Governance II 2019-2022.
