Merkezi Aziýada Kanunyň Hökmürowanlygy Maksatnamasy , Özbegistan bilen baglanyşykly Ýewropa Geňeşiniň iki hyzmatdaşlyk maksatnamasyndan biridir. Participation to the Global Forum on Human Rights Education

The Global Forum on Human Rights Education was held on 5-6 December 2022 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. This high-level event was organised by the National Human Rights Centre of the Republic of Uzbekistan in co-operation with the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights; the OSCE; the Council of Europe and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.

The Forum was opened by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk, the Chairman of the UN Human Rights Council, Ambassador Federico Villegas and the Director of the Directorate General Human Rights and Rule of Law of the Council of Europe Christos Giakoumopoulos.

Human rights education experts from different countries, foreign and international experts, state bodies, non-governmental organisations, civil society – more than 200 participants took part in the Forum.

Some best practices and innovative approaches to human rights education for different audiences (children, youth, civil society and legal professionals) were discussed and shared by the international and regional community of experts.

A final outcome document was developed at the end of the Forum setting up main recommendations on how to improve and institutionalise human rights education and training at international, regional and national levels.

The event was organised in the framework of the action "HELP in Central Asia" within the Central Asia Rule of Law Programme 2020-2023 which is a joint initiative, co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
