Brief description of the practice: The 2011-2012 project “Sport For, About and With women”, with the financial support of IOC and local support from the MYS and the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, aimed to identify the areas and sports where women were under-represented. As a result of this project, several state programmes have been established in Azerbaijan in order to launch junior and national women’s teams in traditionally “masculine” sports such as football, wrestling, judo, taekwondo.
