Brief description of the practice: The IOC Gender Equality Review Project presents the full range of IOC and Olympic Movement activities that incorporate gender equality, in the form of 25 recommendations, covering five different themes: Sport, Portrayal, Governance, Funding and HR, Monitoring and Communications. These recommendations are also based on advice offered by colleagues from National Olympic Committees and International Federations, former athletes, sports media professionals, academics specialising in sport studies, business leaders from the private sector as well as on publications, reports and management studies. The project findings underline the importance for all the recommendations to be implemented to truly achieve equal access and participation for women in all areas of sport
