Brief description of the practice: 100% Sport has organised training courses for coaches concerning the implementation of prevention concepts. The training courses are supposed to raise awareness among people working in sport about this issue and provide guidelines on how to rethink organisational structures and personal actions. The idea is that through transparency, know-how and taking responsibility, sports organisations can become safer. For example, sports organisations are advised to sign and have coaches sign a code of honour as well as to ask coaches to provide an extract of their criminal record. Three types of courses are offered, the first one being targeted to experts in different fields but who work in sports (psychologists, psycho-therapists, practitioners, lawyers etc…) and focuses on how to advise sports organisations on preventing sexualised violence and creating a culture of intervention. The second one is addressed to members of sports organisations and coaches and focuses on establishing guidelines for the prevention of sexual violence and on how to deal with cases. Finally, the third course is aimed at training members of sports organisations on how to offer an on-site support system for athletes, parents and coaches and to establish contact with helplines. In parallel to these training courses, a brochure has been elaborated as didactic support for the participants as well as a poster campaign to raise awareness in organisations and schools about sexual violence.
