PATHS Module 5 trains Southern Mediterranean anti-corruption practitioners on private sector compliance

The fifth module of the Programme of Advanced Training in the field of Human rights, the rule of law and democracy for Southern Mediterranean (PATHS) was organised on 27-30 November 2017, in Strasbourg. This was a module developed as a training of trainers on the topic of private sector anti-corruption compliance and forensic for government officials and private actors involved in such issues.

The twelve participants from Jordan, Morocco, Tunisia and Palestine* had the opportunity to review international standards and guidelines on anti-corruption compliance with discussions of regional best practices. The course has also covered risk assessments together with inquiries into corruption and financial fraud practices. The experts trained during this session are subsequently expected to cascade the competencies to broader domestic audiences and further raise local awareness on private sector compliance.
