A new course aimed at improving the quality of justice through mediation has been launched in Azerbaijan through the Council of Europe's Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP) programme. This initiative is a collaborative effort with the Mediation Council and the Academy of Justice of Azerbaijan.
The course will benefit a group of 50 mediators across the country, focusing on enhancing their expertise in dispute resolution. Over the course of one month, participants will engage in five comprehensive sessions designed to equip them with essential practical skills for effective mediation.
To ensure a thorough understanding of the material, the programme includes regular evaluations through online written assignments. Upon succesful completion, participants will be awarded HELP certificates, recognising their commitment to advancing mediation practices in Azerbaijan.
This event is part of the European Union and Council of Europe joint programme “Partnership for Good Governance”, co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe, and implemented by the Council of Europe, in the framework of the project “Fostering mediation in Azerbaijan”.
