Summary of the project: She Runs 2019 is the first project for gender equality run by the ISF and supported by the European Union’s Erasmus+ sport programme. It aims at empowering girls through school sport and focuses particularly on participation in physical activities for girls between 15 and 18 years of age, as well as on the development of leadership skills through sport. She Runs is a year-long program composed of several activities for more than 500 young women, including a symbolic race and a cultural day in Paris, a TEDTalk conference and an educational programme for a group of selected participants, who will later participate as volunteers in three ISF events. All the awareness-raising and educational materials will be open-sourced and published on an online platform and the results of the project will be presented and discussed in a conference during the European Week of Sport.
