The European Union and the Council of Europe continue to work in partnership with the Republic of Azerbaijan to improve efficiency of the Azerbaijani judiciary. Thus, in July the Council of Europe launched a training needs assessment for CEPEJ topics to identify training needs for different target groups within the judiciary (courts) of Azerbaijan. The assessment is being organized through online survey platform. A training programme on court management of the Justice Academy of Azerbaijan will be prepared based on the results of the online survey.
The training programme will be essential to trainers of the Justice Academy to deliver courses on efficient court management and quality of justice to judges and court staff, which will contribute to the modernization of management methods and tools applied by Azerbaijani courts with a view to better efficiency and user satisfaction.
The activity is being organized in the framework of the CEPEJ cooperation project "Strengthening the efficiency and quality of the judicial system in Azerbaijan" under the Partnership for Good Governance II (PGG II), which is funded jointly by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
