On 7-8 December COMUS Mayors and town representatives gathered in Tbilisi and Dusheti to discuss the project progress and sign the Declaration on Co-operation.
The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Peter Ramsden, COMUS expert, and attended by Mr. Hakan Shearer Demir, COMUS program coordinator; Philip Stein, COMUS lead expert; Matthias Ripp, OWHC regional secretariat, the EU representatives, the Mayors and delegates of the pilot towns.
At the end of the meeting, the declaration of co-operation was signed in Dusheti, on the 8th December 2016 to affirm the commitment of pilot towns to the COMUS methodology and serve as the basis for joint action.
The workshop was held in parallel to the regional forum “Culture and Creativity for Innovation and Development: Creative Georgia Roadmap” organised in the framework of the Culture and Creativity Regional Program of the EU. The representatives of the pilot towns attended the forum on 8th December. The presentation of COMUS by Mr. Shearer Demir took place at the Forum on 9th December, the same day Dusheti Municipality presented the vision for local development elaborated in the context of COMUS, with the focus on culture and creativity.
