Azerbaijani institutions explore international digital tools to protect women victims of violence

Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, along with experts from Türkiye and Spain, took part in a workshop on emergency support for women victims of violence.

The participants explored how digital tools, such as Türkiye’s KADES application and Spain’s VioGén system, can strengthen rapid response, inter-institutional coordination, and the safety of victims.

Azerbaijani representatives expressed strong interest in developing a similar national digital platform to improve protection and support services in the country. They also highlighted the value of regular cross-border exchanges and workshops as effective platforms for sharing experiences and learning from good international practices.

This event is part of the Council of Europe and the European Union joint programme “Partnership for Good Governance”, co-funded by both organisations, and implemented by the Council of Europe, in the framework of the project “Preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence in Azerbaijan”.
