At its 147th plenary session (held on 12-13 June 2026), the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe adopted, among others:
Republic of Moldova
- Joint Opinion of the Venice Commission and the Directorate General of Human Rights and Rule of Law (DGI) of the Council of Europe on Amendments to Laws No. 65/2023 and 252/2023 of the Republic of Moldova regarding appointment to judicial and prosecutorial evaluation commissions.
- Joint Opinion Opinion of the Venice Commission and the Directorate General of Human Rights and Rule of Law (DGI) of the Council of Europe on the draft legislative amendments of the Republic of Moldova on the integrity checks and the evaluation of judges, previously examined by the Sub-Commissions on the Judiciary, on the Rule of Law and on Democratic Institutions at their joint meeting on 11 June 2026.
These opinions were prepared under the Quick Response Mechanism (QRM), in the framework of the European Union and Council of Europe joint programme Partnership for Good Governance, co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
