The staff of the Equality Council had the occasion to analyse their monitoring activity and learn new skills related to the monitoring mechanism during a workshop, which took place in Chisinau on 23-24 January 2023.
Participants of the workshop discussed the goal and scope of the monitoring strategy, the lessons that have been learned so far based on the implementation process as well as elements that support and impede the activity based on the mentioned strategy.
Another important aspect that was approached within the respective workshop is the legislation and new development opportunities that lie ahead of the Equality Council in view of strengthening equality and eliminating discrimination in the Republic of Moldova.
This workshop was carried out jointly with the Equality Council within the framework of the project” Strengthening the capacities of the justice sector actors to deliver justice in line with European standards, in particular to fight discrimination in the Republic of Moldova” funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe in their Partnership for Good Governance II (2019-2022).
