On February 23, 2024, the Council of Europe completed a series of capacity development activities for the General Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia to advance its internal training competences.
As a result of the four rounds of training, 32 prosecutors gained knowledge about the basic principles, methods, and techniques of adult training delivery.
In addition to theoretical knowledge, participants of the training developed necessary skills for planning, organizing, and conducting trainings for their peers within the framework of a continuous legal education program, through case scenarios, group work, and practical assignments. Consequently, the number of trainer prosecutors increased, enabling the General Prosecutor’s office to address its in-house training needs.
The activity was organised in the framework of the project "Strengthening independence and professionalism of Georgia" co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe in their Partnership for Good Governance III 2023-2026.
