Members of the Supreme Judicial Council, Presidents and judges from different court instances both from Yerevan and regions of Armenia, and the Ministry of Justice representatives discussed the draft Judicial and Legal Reforms Strategy for 2022-2026 of the Republic of Armenia.The event was organised by the Council of Europe in close collaboration with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia in Tsaghkadzor city, Armenia on 23-24 April 2022.
The presentations on the strategic objectives of the draft Judicial and Legal Reforms Strategy for 2022-2026 of the Republic of Armenia, as well as on the introduction of a unified ''E-court'' management system (modules on civil, administrative, bankruptcy and criminal cases) were made by the national partners from the Ministry of Justice.
On the first day the participants were engaged in lively and constructive discussions over the procedure for appealing the decisions of the Supreme Judicial Council and the review of the judicial system of the Republic of Armenia in the context of the constitutional reforms. On the second day of the event the participants exchanged their views in relation to the review of the Civil and Administrative Procedure Legislations of the Republic of Armenia as a result of identified shortcomings arising in practice.
The round table discussion on the draft Judicial and Legal Reforms Strategy for 2022-2026 of the Republic of Armenia with the participation of the judiciary was organised by the project "Support to the judicial reform – enhancing the independence and professionalism of the judiciary in Armenia," funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe within the framework of the Partnership for Good Governance II 2019-2022.
