Brief description of the practice: The project has been implemented to facilitate the dissemination of information on the role of the Supporters Liaison Officer (SLO) and encourage the development of this figure among football clubs and his recognition by the Italian fan base.
Context and objectives: Its goal is to serve as a central hub for the public, offering information, welcoming input from supporter groups, suggesting initiatives, and fostering positive engagement between supporters and the sports club. This involves facilitating a direct, two-way dialogue to ensure effective communication and functional relationships between clubs and their supporters.
Steps/activities of the practice: Promotion of initiatives for training and the exchange of practices among the SLOs;research and development synergies with national (and non-Lega Serie A) SLO realities; research and monitoring of national and non-national documentation and case histories; relations with international institutions linked and correlated to the world of fan support; monitoring and filtering of messages from fans and SLOs.
Achievemeents and outcomes: A portal dedicated to all football fans and the drafting of a practical guide for the Italian SLOs.
