Overview

Promoting and nurturing sport values is paramount in shaping a positive and inclusive sports culture, especially for young players and supporters.

By raising awareness of the importance of integrity, fair play, and respect for competitors, we foster sporting spirit and lay the foundations for a more inclusive and cohesive society.

Through education and active participation, we can empower young athletes to support the development of a healthy and safe sport environment, both on and off the field, thereby enriching the sporting experience for all participants and spectators alike.

Target group(s): Everyone from the sports’ world including referees, leaders, managers, coach, players etc.

Language: French

Brief description of the practice:  Sport Sans Violence is an app that allows everyone who witnesses an act of violence or an act of unfair play to report it to the concerned referents and authorities.

The person who wishes to fill in a report needs to indicate on the reporting form: the time of the observation, the place, the sport, the protagonists and finally the type of situation he or she observed (physical, verbal, psychological violences …).

Context and objectives: For the acts of violence, one of the objectives of this reporting platform is to collect data that will allow the State services concerned to engage actions of prevention, sensitisation and trainings. This data collection should lead to the creation of an observatory to follow the evolution of the data at the territorial level. On the other hand, collecting data on fair play cases would allow to award prizes to the actors involved, on the model of the “IRIS du sport”.

Steps/activities of the practice: Once done, the system automatically sent the report forms to the referent of the federation, of the State or of the Olympic and Sport territorial movement concerned by the report.

It exists a specific sending system for cases of sexual violences: those reports are sent directly to a referent at the minister of sports.

Resources required: The platform can be accessed by downloading the application (Appstore or Playstore) and/or by going directly on the web.

Achievements and outcomes: More than 500 downloads on the Playstore,
