The third international conference “Plagiarism across Europe and Beyond 2017”, organised on 24 – 26 May 2017 in Brno, Czech Republic, this year welcomed also Rectors and Vice-Rectors from public universities in Kosovo.

The conference, jointly organised by Mendel University in Brno, the European Network for Academic Integrity and the Council of Europe, brought together 120 participants from 49 countries from all continents except Antarctica, as the chair of the Conference Tomáš Foltýnek stated in his opening remarks. For the Kosovo representatives the event was a revelatory experience. One of the participants stated that it was interesting to discover that issues of plagiarism and academic integrity are matters of concern throughout the world as well and to see how far plagiarism and contract cheating can reach. Moreover, for the participants, it was a revelation to learn that plagiarism and contract cheating were areas researched by experts and academics.

Participation in the conference by the representatives from the Public universities of Kosovo was enabled by the HF action “Strengthen Integrity and Combat Corruption in Higher Education“.
