Within the framework of the South Programme II, the Council of Europe’s European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ) has organised a study visit for a Jordanian delegation to the Swiss Federal Court in Luzern on 9 June 2015. The visit, centred on “Judicial scoreboards and reporting systems”, aimed to discuss CEPEJ tools for the evaluation of national judicial systems as well as to present the European experience with a view to familiarise Jordanian representatives to CEPEJ work and to other European standards in this field.
The Jordanian delegation, composed of seven representatives of the Ministry of Justice and the Jordanian Judicial Council, had the chance to attend presentations and exchange views with their Swiss and Norwegian peers, with regard to the judicial case management and evaluation systems at national level.
An entire session was dedicated to present the Swiss Federal Court’s information technology systems, namely for the case management, automatic designation of judges and for statistical purposes.
