A regional conference to raise awareness about the security of journalists will be organised in Kyiv, Ukraine on 12 June. Delegations of MPs from Eastern Partnership countries have been invited and will discuss parliamentary initiatives for the safety of journalists and hold exchanges of views with media freedom NGOs and journalists having worked in conflict zones.

This conference is organised in cooperation with the PACE Sub-Committee on Media and Information Society and hosted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. It is part of the programmatic cooperation framework for Eastern Partnership countries which is funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
