Routes4U meeting on Cultural Routes in the Danube Region and in the Adriatic and Ionian Region

Organised in cooperation with the Federal Chancellery of Austria, the Routes4U meeting on Cultural Routes in the Danube Region (EUSDR) and in the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR) was held on 14-15 October 2019 in Vienna, Austria. The event gathered around 70 participants including stakeholders from the cultural and tourism field at national and macro-regional level, Cultural Routes certified by the Council of Europe and new Cultural Routes projects.

The meeting focused on new Cultural Routes to be developed to promote and protect the rich heritage of the Danube Region and the Adriatic and Ionian Region, such as "Roman Heritage Route", “Iron Age Route”, “European Route of Saints Cyril and Methodius” or “Danube Women Stories”.

A stakeholders meeting was organised as a networking opportunity, bringing together potential partners of each Cultural Route project; the meeting also included trainings on the Cultural Routes certification and on branding for Cultural Routes.
