EU/CoE joint Project “Consolidation of Justice Policy Development in Ukraine” supported trainings organized by the Ukrainian National Bar Association (UNBA), hold on 29-30 January 2016 and 12-13 February 2016, for heads of the regional Qualification and Disciplinary Bar Commissions and members of the High Qualification and Disciplinary Bar Commission.

The trainings were dedicated to the issues on application of the European Convention on Human Rights and the European Court of Human Rights (hereinafter - ECHR) case-law, envisaged by the Qualification exam program.

During the seminars the presentations were made by the following speakers: Oleksandr Drosdov, Head of the High Qualification and Disciplinary Bar Commission, Ihor Karaman, coordinator of the UNBA for continuing legal training of attorneys, lawyer at the ECHR Registry (2008-2012), Nazar Kulchytskyy, partner at the Kulchytskyy, Kulakov & Bidniahin Law Firm, Government Agent before the European Court of Human Rights (2012-2013), Daina Selma, lawyer at the ECtHR, Taras Pashuk, lawyer at the ECtHR.

The presentations referred to the ECtHR case-law were combined with the practical assignments on the admissibility of complaints before the ECtHR and with current issues on application of the ECtHR case-law during the application of the legislation of Ukraine.
