Consultation Meeting on Development of a Progress Review Methodology of the Justice Sector Reforms Implementation

 

A Consultation Meeting on Development of a Progress Review Methodology of the Justice Sector Reforms Implementation organized by the EU/CoE joint project “Consolidation of Justice Sector Policy Development in Ukraine” took place on 18 February 2016 in Kyiv.

The purpose of the meeting was to present a draft concept of the future Progress Review Methodology as an instrument for reviewing progress and achievements of the justice sector reforms implementation, and discuss the initial ideas and vision of such methodology with relevant justice sector actors and civil society organisations.

The methodology will be developed on the basis of the findings of the meeting and of the work done before to assess whether reforms are progressing towards achievement of the expected results defined by the Justice Sector Reform Strategy. Draft Progress Review Methodology is expected be ready for testing at the end of summer 2016.

Representatives of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine, Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, High Council of Justice of Ukraine, High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, Council of Judges of Ukraine, Supreme Court of Ukraine, High specialised courts, Ombudsman Office in Ukraine, General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine, Ukrainian National Bar Association of Ukraine, other representatives of the justice sector, civil society, international projects and other partners took part in the meeting.
