Faro walks in Goris: rain did not make them stop walking

A Faro walk was organized in Goris (Armenia), on 25 September, at the central GrigorTatevatsi Square. Despite the cloudy and rainy weather, the event counted on the participation of around 60 participants which included students, teachers and many other interested community members. At the beginning of the walk, the Faro Convention was introduced, highlighting the purposes and meanings of the Convention.

The scientific presentation on Goris urban heritage was introduced by the professor S. Hakhverdyan, the historian Mr. V. Sargsyan, and the painter, Mr. Zh. Martirosyan, who is also an active Local Stakeholder Group member. As Faro Walks were very well received in Goris, the COMUS PIU decided to organize periodically walks trying to target both walkers from surrounding communities and other towns of Armenia and tourists.
