The Consolidation phase (January-June 2017) of the COMUS project will enable the target groups to take stock of their experiences, learn about the experimentation, and draw up decisions to be taken at national level on the relevant adaptation of policies and strategies.

The OWHC network of experts and professionals in World Heritage management from the Regional Secretariat Northwest Europe and North America will keep up supporting the COMUS towns and the project management at Council of Europe also in the final project period. This support could be the base for cooperation and inter-city consultations even after the finalization of the official project.

Furthermore, with support of the whole OWHC organization and its headquarters in Québec/Canada, the COMUS towns are represented on the official OWHC website under www.ovpm.org as observer members for the whole year 2017 and have the chance to present themselves on the international platform identically as regular OWHC member cities.

COMUS partner towns with “best practice” for community involvement will be included in the OWHC Guidebook on “Community Involvement in Urban Heritage”.

COMUS and OWHC cooperation will be presented during the next OWHC World Congress in Gyeongju/Korea (November 2017).
